Δουλεύοντας το ρόλο: το χτίσιμο ενός χαρακτήρα
Στράτος Τζώρτζογλου είναι ο κορυφαίος ηθοποιός της γενιάς του, ένα αστέρι της σκηνής, του κινηματογράφου και της τηλεόρασης. Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα και σπούδασε υποκριτική στο Θέατρο Τέχνης Καρόλου Κουν. Στο θέατρο δούλεψε με κορυφαίους σκηνοθέτες όπως ο Κουν, ο Μίνως Βολανάκης, ο Ζυλ Ντασσέν, ο Σπύρος Ευαγγελάτος και η Ρούλα Πατεράκη. Στον κινηματογράφο με τον Θόδωρο Αγγελόπουλο, τον Παντελή Βούλγαρη, τον Μιχάλη Κακογιάννη και τον Νίκο Παναγιωτόπουλο.
Συνεργάστηκε με την Κατρίν Ντενέβ στην τηλεοπτική ταινία: «365 μέρες γέννηση» και το 1994 με την Εύα Μπέργκμαν στην ταινία: «One Love and the other», συμπρωταγωνιστώντας με την Λένα Εντρέ. Το 2004 δούλεψε με τον Μισέλ Φαβάρ στην ταινία: «Ο τελευταίος Άρχοντας των Βαλκανίων». Την ίδια χρονιά εμφανίστηκε στο θεατρικό έργο της Λεία Βιτάλη «Roast Beef» στο Riverside Studio στο Λονδίνο.
Παράλληλα το ελληνικό κοινό τον γνωρίζει σαν πρωταγωνιστή σε πολλές τηλεοπτικές σειρές, μεταξύ αυτών: “Βαλς με 12 Θεούς”, “η ζωή της άλλης”, “σε φόντο κόκκινο”, χήρες κλαμπ”, “το σημάδι του έρωτα”, “στη σκιά του πολέμου”, έκπτωτος άγγελος”, “παλίρροια”, “υπέροχη ζωή”, “ιδιαιτέρα για κλάματα” και “οι φρουροί της Αχαΐας¨.
Έχει πάρει το Εθνικό Βραβείο Καλύτερου Ηθοποιού για την ταινία του Μιχάλη Κακογιάννη: “Πάνω, Κάτω και πλαγίως” (συμπρωταγωνιστώντας με την Ειρήνη Παπά) και το Βραβείο Καλύτερου Ηθοποιού στο Stars de Demain για την ταινία “Τοπίο στην Ομίχλη” του Θόδωρου Αγγελόπουλου.
Το 1997 έπαιξε το ρόλο του Πολυνείκη στις "Φοινισσες" του Ευριπιδη , στην Επίδαυρο δίπλα στην αξέχαστη Αννα Συνοδινου.
Το 2007-2008 έπαιξε το “Διόνυσο” στις Βάκχες του Ευριπιδη στο Εθνικό Θέατρο Βορείου Ελλάδος, η οποία παράσταςη έγινε και ταινία σε σκηνοθεσία του Bruno Coppola και πρωταγωνίστησε και στην ταινία του Bruno Coppola “Three Way Week”,όπως και στην ταινία " The Rainbow Experiment" by Christina Kallas.

Offered by Stratos Tzortzoglou a known, established actor and now a professional observer at the Actors Studio.
Stratos did his masterclasses in L.A with Ivanna Chubbuck (Brad Pitt ,Halle Berry ,Charlize Theron ,James Franco ,Sylvester Stallone) and with Aaron Speiser (Will Smith ,Jennifer Lopez ,Gerard Butler ,Marion Cotillard) who said about Stratos “In all my experience, I have never met an actor as dedicated and talented as Stratos”.
The class will have Stratos Tzortzoglou detailing the greatest lessons he’s learned through his momentous career—the struggles and successes that made him the household name he is today.“

Stratos Tzortzoglou appeared for the first time in Karolos Koun’ Sound of the Gun by Loula Anagnostaki at Karolos Koun Art Theater. Apart from Karolos Koun, he has worked on stage with famed Greek directors Minos Volanakis, Jules Dassin, Spyros Evangelatos, Roula Pateraki, Andreas Voutsinas and Giannis Kokkos. He has also worked in film with directors such as Theo Angelopoulos, Michael Cacoyannis and Pantelis Voulgaris, and alongside actresses Catherine Deneuve, Irene Papas (Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Z, Electra), Lena Endre (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Sarah Douglas (Conan the Destroyer, Falcon Crest, Superman).
