1 Day to CCPA Compliance: Please be Ready

Dear ????????,

With only 1 day left to CCPA, please take the time to review the following information below regarding privacy practices and actions you should take regarding the impending California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") which takes effect January 1st, 2019.

There are actions you should take that will only take a minute. We are here to help, so please feel free to reach out to support should you have any questions.

Please read:

In simple language, the new California law requires that all publishers (You) provide California residents the option to 'opt-out' of selling their data from your web site(s). The easiest way to do this is by providing a standardized 'opt-out' tool that informs and asks the consumer if they would like to 'opt-out'. Once the consumer does opt-out, the 'opt-out' tool will inform 3rd parties like Infolinks of this so we can inform everyone we communicate with.

A simple solution is to immediately begin using a FREE standardized data 'Opt Out' solution such as provided by CookiePro (https://www.cookiepro.com/ccpa-opt-out/) to be in compliant. Infolinks is CCPA compliant with the IAB Compliance Framework and will capture the opt-out and communicate with all IAB compliant tools.

Further CCPA Updates:

1. Infolinks is a 'Service Provider' under CCPA, and you are a Publisher under CCPA and it is your obligation and responsibility to adhere to the CCPA guidelines regarding privacy and to communicate the compliant information to Infolinks so that we can make an 'informed' decision.

2. Infolinks Does Not Sell Data: We use and transfer Personal Information to third parties in order to perform the service of offering your ad inventory to advertisers for purchase pursuant to our Agreement with you. Our services include transmitting ad requests, bid requests and bid responses between buyers and sellers, providing reporting, frequency capping, performing analytics and detecting fraudulent activity. We do not sell the Personal Information you provide to us. When we transmit ad requests, we transfer data to the buyers in your ad unit and while we contractually restrict buyers from engaging in certain activities, we do not control how those buyers utilize the data that we send to them or what kind of ads they show.

As a result, you are responsible for determining whether you engage in any sales with respect to such parties and offering an opt out for any such sales. While you are fully responsible for your CCPA compliance, we are providing additional controls for publishers like you to help comply with the law, as follows:

·  Recommended: You may use User Specific "Limited Processing Mode"  (for example, if you add a "Do Not Sell" link and allow individual users to opt out). You may transmit these signals to us by using an industry standard compliance 'Opt Out' solution such as provided by CookiePro (https://www.cookiepro.com/ccpa-opt-out/) to be in full compliance, or (e.g. IAB CCPA Compliance Framework.)

·  By DEFAULT your Account will be to set to Site Specific  "Limited Processing Mode". Infolinks will process any ad requests subject to the CCPA and Limited Processing Mode as a service provider and will process any personal information in such ad requests only for "business purposes" as defined under the CCPA. With this mode, we will only pass the personal information provided from your site to buyers who have agreed to process the information as a service provider. In addition we will automatically look for 'User Specific' signals for Opt-Out and pass them if found.

3. We have updated our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service to reflect the latest CCPA requirements and ask that you take a moment to read and understand it.

4. Childrens' Inventory: In accordance with the obligations of the CCPA, to the extent your ad inventory targets users under the age of 16, please appropriately inform us of such inventory by contacting support@infolinks.com.

5. Why Would Publisher Income be Effected?: Advertisers targeting California audiences may choose to not buy advertising from your site if they are unable to determine if you're site is CCPA compliant.

Regulatory guidance regarding CCPA continues to evolve. We will update you to the extent our expectations regarding legal compliance change. Feel free to contact support@infolinks.com if you have any questions.

Thank you for being a valued Infolinks publisher.

Regards,

Infolinks
